Step cooking
- We prepare the ingredients. Take a kilogram of red currant and rinse it. We examine currants and remove rotten or spoiled berries. Twigs can not be removed - at your request.
- Add a kilogram of fine sugar to the currant in a bowl. It must be small and instant. Mix currants with sugar well.
- Stir the berries until the first juice. If you want to speed up the process, take a potato masher and crush the berries with it. You can also just mix the berries a couple of times and leave them for 1-1.5 hours until they give the juice.
- Put the berries on the stove, detect for 10 minutes and stirring constantly, warm the berries with sugar.
- When the foam appears, we begin to interfere intensively. We try not to reduce the fire, but if the jam will "run away", it is better to slightly reduce the fire to medium.
- Remove the resulting foam. Pour jam through a sieve or colander into the pan. We strain the berries well.
- We prepare pre-sterilized jars. To do this, wash them with soda, then put in the microwave for 5 minutes. We squeeze the berries well, you can use a potato masher. Mix the ingredients and pour into jars.
- Leave the jelly in the open until completely solidified.
- We cover the jelly with lids or a film, to whom it is convenient.
- Done! Such jelly can be stored not only in the refrigerator, but also at room temperature. Enjoy your meal!
