Ingredients

  • Potato - 1 kg
  • Pork - 800 g
  • Onion - 2 pcs.
  • Carrots - 1 pc.
  • Garlic - 2-3 cloves
  • Bay leaf - 1-2 pcs.
  • Various peppercorns (or ground) - to taste
  • Paprika - 1 tsp.
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Water - as needed

Step cooking

  1. We prepare 800 g of pork - wash and dry with paper towels, cut into small but not small pieces. Cut the meat into fairly large pieces.
  2. In a pan or pan with a thick bottom, heat up a little vegetable oil. Spread the meat in a pan and fry over high heat, stirring constantly. It must be podzolotil. Fry meat in vegetable oil
  3. Cut into cubes (or half rings - optional) 2 onions, but not very finely. Finely chop the onion.
  4. Cut one carrot - circles or halves of circles. Cut the carrots into circles.
  5. As soon as the meat began to acquire a golden color - pour the onion with carrots into the pan, mix, continue to fry, but on low heat and under the lid - until the onions are soft (about 8 minutes). Add onions and carrots to the meat.
  6. Cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes. dice the potatoes.
  7. Salt the meat, put paprika and peas of different peppers, 1-2 bay leaves. Mix well. Add bay leaf and paprika to the meat.
  8. Put the potatoes on the meat, do not mix. put the potatoes on top of the meat, but do not mix.
  9. Pour a little water into the pan - 50-70 ml. We close the lid and simmer for 20 minutes on a minimum fire, without opening the lid even once. Add a little water and cover the pan with a lid.
  10. After a lapse of time, open the lid, salt the potatoes and mix everything. Only ready potatoes are already mixed.
  11. Pass 2–3 cloves of garlic through the garlic and add it to the roast. Pass the roast garlic through the press.
  12. Put a little salt in the soup ladle and, pouring boiling water into it, gently pour it into the roast. Pour water as much as gravy. Dissolve salt in a ladle of water and add to the dish.
  13. Simmer the roast over medium heat for another 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the dish stand for 10 minutes. Stir. Our home-made roast is ready.

Useful Tips

  • You can take any meat for such a roast.
  • If you want to make a roast with tomato, then at the end, along with boiling water, put a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste, tomato sauce, ketchup or a little tomato juice. In this case, it is recommended to add a tablespoon of sugar - this will give the dish a special piquancy.
  • When serving, it is advisable to sprinkle the roast with fresh herbs.
