Step cooking
Important! Cooking home-style roast must be in a deep container with a thick bottom. It can be a frying pan, a cast iron, a pan or a ducklings.
- Rinse and strip meat. Cut into fairly large pieces.
- In hot vegetable oil, fry the meat until golden brown over high heat. After the meat is well-fried, add 50-60 ml of hot water to the pan and simmer the meat under the lid for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Peel and rinse all vegetables. Chop onions into large quarters, carrots in large strips.
- 10 minutes after stewing, add onion to the meat, wait until it is slightly fried, and add carrots. Mix well and fry together until soft.
- Mushrooms cut into a medium cube and send to the pan, mix.
- Cut the potatoes into pretty coarse pieces of about the same size. Cut large potatoes into 10 - 12 pieces, and if you choose smaller potatoes, then you need to cut it into fewer parts.
- Send potatoes to the pan for meat and vegetables. Mix everything and let the potatoes lightly fry.
- Cut whole tomatoes into small pieces. Send chopped tomatoes and half the juice from them to the pan. Instead of tomatoes, you can use tomato paste in your own juice.
- Add to the whole mass of bay leaf and all the spices indicated in the recipe, if desired. Pour with water, about 100 - 150 ml. Water should not cover the potatoes, so the sauce is not too thin. Mix everything and taste the sauce, add spices, if necessary.
- Mix everything, cover and simmer until the potatoes are ready, about 25-30 minutes. 5 - 10 minutes before the end of cooking add green peas. At the end of cooking, add finely chopped garlic, coarsely chopped greens, mix the roast and remove from heat.
