Ingredients
Components | proportions |
crab sticks | 600 g |
egg | 2 pcs. |
basil | 10 g |
mustard | 15-20 g |
mayonnaise | 50 g |
Wheat flour | 60-70 g |
sea or table salt | optional |
freshly ground black pepper | optional |
vegetable oil | 30-40 ml |
Step cooking
Prepare batter
- In a deep container, break two chicken eggs. Add 10 g of dried basil to the eggs, as well as salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- We spread 15-20 g of mustard there and beat well with a whisk, trying to dissolve the grains of salt as much as possible.
- Next, we add 50 g of mayonnaise and 60-70 g of premium wheat flour.
- Stir the ingredients until a homogeneous, viscous consistency is obtained. An ideal batter in its consistency is similar to a test for pancakes. We remove the sample for salt, and if necessary, add more.
We will prepare the products
- Pour 30-40 ml of vegetable oil into a well-heated pan. It is best to use olive oil or refined sunflower oil, which does not have a sharp specific smell. In this case, the products will be aromatic and mouth-watering.
- While the oil is warming up, we release the crab sticks from the film. On the prepared amount of batter, at least 600 g of product will be needed. Each stick is carefully rolled in batter, and then gently spread on hot oil.
- Fry products on both sides until a ruddy amber shade appears. Approximately on each side it will take 30-40 seconds.
- Put the finished crab sticks on a paper towel to remove excess oil. We serve treats on the table in warm or cold form.
