Kitchen appliances and utensils
- hob;
- pan;
- tablespoon;
- fork;
- a bowl;
- knife;
- cutting board;
- colander.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower - 1/2 pcs.
- Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
- Wheat flour - 2-4 tbsp. l
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Step cooking
- On the hob, put water in a saucepan for heating. Add salt to the water and bring to a boil. While the water is warming up, we cut the cabbage with a knife. Turning the head, we cut off pieces of inflorescence by the legs. Separate the cut piece, remove everything superfluous, and if it is large, cut into two halves or four quarters. The sizes of the pieces, which will be further fried in batter, each one chooses to his taste.
- When the water on the tile begins to boil, we put in the pan chopped cauliflower. After that, cook it for 7-8 minutes, then it will turn out slightly crispy. To get a completely soft consistency, you need to cook for 10 minutes. After the appointed time, the cooked pieces of cabbage are thrown back into a colander and left in it so that it cools down and the water drains.
- We break 1 chicken egg into the bowl and add a little salt to taste. The author’s recipe uses half a head of cauliflower. If you use a whole head of cabbage, you will need 2 eggs and about 6 tablespoons of flour. Beat the egg with a fork until smooth.
- In the whipped mass, slowly pour the flour from a tablespoon. At the same time, carefully mix the liquid with a fork in the second hand so that no lumps form. Thus, pour all 3 tablespoons of flour.
- Thickness of batter can be adjusted at your discretion by adding more or less flour than suggested in the recipe. After adding all the flour to the mass, carefully knead it for about 20-40 seconds.
- We put the frying pan on a moderate fire and water its surface with vegetable oil. When the oil warms up, dip a slice of cabbage into the batter so that it is completely covered with the egg mass, and put it in a frying pan.
- Each piece is fried on all sides in turn. The frying speed of one side is about 30 seconds.
- Pieces fried from all sides, remove from the pan, and put in their place unroasted. Shot pieces are ready to eat and can be served.
