Ingredients
water | 360 ml |
premium flour | 600 g |
egg | 1 PC. |
butter | 30 g |
salt | 1/2 tsp |
vegetable oil | 2 tbsp. l |
Step cooking
- First, measure out 360 ml of water, pour it into a refractory dish and put on fire. After the water has boiled, immediately remove it from the hob so that it does not decrease in volume.
- In the resulting boiling water, add 30 g of butter and let it melt a little. Now weigh 600 g of flour and sift it through a sieve. Then pour the flour into a deep plate, where the dough will be kneaded.
- Next, add 1/2 tsp to the sifted flour. salt and 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Mix everything thoroughly. Without ceasing to stir the dry mixture, pour boiling water with butter into it. This should be done gradually to prevent the appearance of lumps. After that, we introduce 1 egg into the mixture of ingredients and continue to knead the dough until smooth. When it becomes difficult for you to do this with a spoon, go to manual batch.
- When the dough becomes homogeneous and ceases to stick to the hands, we take it out of the plate and put it on the table. Now you need to crush it a little with your hands. Such dough does not require additional flour sprinkling, as it turns out to be very soft and tender.
- At the end, you need to wrap the dough with cling film. If you want, you can send it to the refrigerator, or you can just leave it lying on the table for about 30 minutes.
- After half an hour, the dough must be freed from the film. Now it can be used for cooking.
Choux pastry has a very simple recipe. It does not require any specific rolling methods, and the whole process of kneading it takes just a few minutes. The dough made according to this recipe is ideal for making meat pies or pasties.
You can choose for yourself any filling option you like. You can also make sweet buns or eclairs from this dough. Moreover, for the formation of sweet dishes in it you will not even need to add sugar.
