Ingredients
- large white onion - 9 pcs.
- butter - 90 g
- bottled water - 250 ml
- red wine vinegar - 250 ml
- brown sugar - 80 g
- rosemary - 40 g
- table salt - 10 g
- ground black pepper - 10 g
- ground red chili pepper - 5 g
Step cooking
- First of all, we select 9 white onions of the same size, then cut 1 cm each from the apex and tail.
- In a heat-resistant form, spread 10 g of ground black pepper, 5 g of ground red hot pepper, 20 g of dried rosemary, 10 g of salt and 60 g of brown sugar.
- Lightly mix the spices and pour them 250 ml of red wine vinegar and the same amount of bottled water.
- Stir the components until the grains of sugar and salt are completely dissolved.
- Put the prepared onions in the resulting marinade, and put the vegetables with the top down. We send the onions to the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. This time is enough for him to pickle well and soak in the marinade.
- After the specified time, we take out the vegetable from the refrigerator and turn it upside down.
- On each onion put a piece of butter, weighing about 10 g.
- Sprinkle the product with dried rosemary on top of the oil. On average, you will need another 20 g.
- We heat the oven or oven to a temperature of 180 ° C. We send the onions to a red-hot oven and bake there for 40 minutes.
- After this time, remove the form with the contents from the oven, and sprinkle the vegetables with brown sugar in an amount of about 20 g. Return the product to the oven and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
- Ready baked onions are served hot.
