Step cooking
- Quartered medium pumpkin peeled from seeds and skins.
- Cut the pumpkin pulp into slices (as if cutting a small melon).
- We spread the slices in a baking dish in one layer.
- We smear each pumpkin slice with honey (in total it will need 3-4 tbsp. L.), This is convenient to do with a culinary brush.
- Turn the pieces over to the other side and coat with honey too.
- On a fine grater, rub a quarter of the nutmeg (or take 1/2 tsp. Ground) and sprinkle the pumpkin.
- Sprinkle the contents of the mold with olive oil.
- We cover the form with foil and send it to the oven preheated to 200 ° C for 30 minutes.
- Then remove the foil and brown the pumpkin for about a quarter of an hour.
- Serve pumpkin slices, adding honey and garnishing with fried pumpkin seeds.
Useful Tips
- When buying, choose a medium-sized round pumpkin (3-5 kg) - it is the most delicious. Its peel should be dense and smooth, without flaws.
- If your honey is sugared, you can return it to a liquid state by holding it a little in hot water, or half a minute in a microwave.
- You can also sprinkle pumpkin wedges with cinnamon.
