Step cooking
- Peel the onion (1 piece) and cut into quarter rings. Onions can be taken both white and blue. Peel the ginger root (0.5 cm long) and cut into thin slices.
- Pour olive oil (2 tablespoons) into a multicooker bowl or deep pan and put chopped onion and ginger. Turn on the "Frying" mode and sauté the onion. This dish can be cooked in a slow cooker, if you have one, and in a deep frying pan on the stove.
- To the onion and ginger immediately add all the seasonings to taste that you want to use. You can add turmeric, black pepper, paprika, Provencal herbs or dried dill and parsley, thyme. Mix everything well and continue cooking in the "Frying" mode.
- After 2-3 minutes, put all the frozen vegetables into the multicooker bowl: cauliflower (500 grams) and mushrooms (300 grams). Mix everything well with a multicooker. Sauté the vegetables for another 3 minutes to maximize the seasoning.
- Salt the dish to taste and add sour cream (2 tablespoons) and mustard (1 tablespoon). Mix the contents of the multicooker bowl or pan well. Water does not need to be added yet, as vegetables, gradually thawing, will give it, and then in the process of preparation, look, maybe you will have to add some water.
- After adding and stirring sour cream and mustard, close the multicooker with a lid, turn on the "Stew" mode and cook the vegetables until fully cooked.
- After about 10 minutes, when the vegetables have released a lot of juice, add oat or wheat bran (2 tablespoons) to them. Mix well. This is necessary in order to give the dish a creamy texture.
- Cook the dish under a closed lid in the same mode for about 7 minutes. Try it, if the vegetables are ready, then it's time to turn it off.
Decoration methods and serving options
Ready side dish of frozen vegetables: put cauliflower and mushrooms on a serving plate and garnish with fresh mint leaves and pumpkin seeds kernels. A side dish of frozen vegetables goes well with baked or boiled chicken, turkey or lean pork meat. Cauliflower garnish can also be served with batter-fried fish.
