Step cooking
- In a deep pan we put two chicken eggs and two potatoes. Fill them with water and put on a stove to cook until tender. The eggs must be hard boiled.
- We cut one herring, cut off the head and tail, take out the insides, separate the fillet from the ridge and bones. Thoroughly wash herring fillet and check once again for the presence of small bones. If they remain, take them out with tweezers.
- Cut the herring fillet into small cubes.
- When the eggs and potatoes are cooked, we rub them on a coarse grater and lay them in separate bowls.
- Cut 100 grams of cream cheese into medium slices. Mix grated eggs, potatoes and cream cheese in a large deep container.
- Knead all the ingredients well.
- Add herring, 50 grams of soft butter, salt and black pepper to taste. Mix everything again. We put this mass in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- We rinse under running water 100 grams of fresh dill, dry it with a paper towel and finely chop.
- We take out a mass of snacks from the refrigerator. I wash my hands thoroughly and begin to form small balls from the mass.
- We roll each ball on all sides in chopped dill and put it on a large dish.
- On top of each ball we place one or more pomegranate seeds.
Decoration methods and serving options
- This appetizer is usually served on a general, large, beautiful dish. In this case, you can put a few leaves of fresh salad on a plate, and then the snack itself.
- If you want to diversify the dish, you can use sesame or some spices instead of greens.
