Product | amount |
The apples | 4 things. |
Sugar | 400 g |
Water | 60 ml |
Glucose syrup | 200 g |
Food coloring | a few drops |
Chopped salted peanuts | for decoration |
Pastry Sprinkles | for decoration |
Step cooking
- Pour 400 g of sugar into the stewpan.
- Pour 60 ml of water.
- Add 200 g of glucose syrup.
- We put the stewpan on the fire, bring the mixture to a boil, not forgetting to stir. From the moment of boiling, boil the syrup for 5-6 minutes at maximum heat.
- Remove the stewpan from the heat and add a few drops of food coloring. Stirring the syrup, we wait for it to cool slightly and the bubbles go away.
- In 4 apples, insert a wooden stick - a little deeper than the middle.
- Dip each apple into caramel, slightly tilting the stewpan. We make only one revolution so that the caramel layer does not turn out very thick. We wait a couple of seconds for the extra caramel glass. Remove excess on the edge of the stewpan.
- Gently roll the bottom of the apple in a confectionery sprinkle or nuts.
- Set the finished apple on a silicone mat or baking paper.
The remaining caramel can be used to make candy.
- After collecting caramel in a spoon, pour it a little on a silicone mat or baking paper.
- Insert the wooden skewer into the caramel and rotate it 180º.
- Top can be decorated with pastry topping or nuts. If the caramel begins to harden, it can be heated a little - it will become liquid, and you can continue to work.
- After 10-15 minutes, the completely cooled caramel hardens and can easily be removed from the mat. It turns out 30 candies.
