Step cooking
- In a deep bowl for salad, spread 300 g of boiled red beans.
- Grate 1 small carrot and send it after the beans.
- We cut 0.5 onion heads in half rings.
- Finely chop a bunch of dill or parsley.
- We shift all the ingredients into a salad bowl and sprinkle them with a small pinch of salt.
- Squeeze the juice of 0.5 small lemon into the salad and add 50 ml of olive oil.
- Mix everything well and leave to stand for 20 minutes to soak. The dish is ready!
This simple salad recipe is perfect for dinner, even as a main course. Beans are a very nutritious plant that will give you a feeling of satiety for a long time. Also, this dish is perfect for lean or vegetarian menus.
Useful Tips
Follow these guidelines, and the process of boiling beans will never again seem to you too complicated and long:
- First of all, check the expiration date of the beans. Old beans will never be soft and tasty, no matter how much they are boiled.
- If you do not have time for a long soak, pour the beans with boiling water (for 1 cup of beans you will need 5 glasses of water) and let stand under the closed lid for at least 1 hour. By the way, you need to fill the beans with water not so much to speed up the cooking process, but to get rid of the compounds harmful to the body.
- After soaking, rinse the beans, fill them with water and set to boil over low heat. Depending on the expiration date, size and variety of beans, this will take from 0.5 to 2.5 hours.
- Ready beans can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days using a closed container.
