Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1.2 kg
- Citric acid - at the tip of a knife
Step cooking
- Wash 1 kg of green tomatoes, place them in a deep saucepan and set it on fire. Once the water boils, let the tomatoes boil for 15 minutes.
- Discard the boiled tomatoes in a colander and let the excess moisture drain.
- Place a deep pan on the stove, pour 1.2 kg of sugar into it and add 200 ml of water. Turn on the fire and boil the syrup for your jam. Do not forget to stir it.
- Move the tomatoes from the colander into another deep pan and pour them on top with the resulting syrup. Let the finished composition brew for 3 hours.
- Put the infused tomatoes on the fire and bring them to a boil. After boiling, cook the tomatoes for another 20-25 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the composition brew for 2 hours. This procedure must be repeated 3 more times. Before the last cooking, add citric acid to the jam on the tip of the knife.
- After the last boil, roll the jam in pre-sterilized jars.
