Ingredients
- Zucchini - 2 kg
- Sugar - 2 kg
- Lemons or oranges - 2 pcs.
Step cooking
- Peel 2 kg of zucchini from the skin and cut off their ends. Cut the zucchini in half, and if the vegetables are already middle-aged, pull out all the seeds. Cut the peeled zucchini into small cubes.
- Peel the used 2 citrus fruits from the ends and dark places on the skin. Leave the ripe zest without defects. Next, cut the fruit into 4 parts and try to remove all the seeds that have accumulated inside.
- Grind citrus fruits in a food processor.
- Transfer the lemon together with the sliced zucchini into a deep pan. Add 2 kg of sugar there. Mix everything thoroughly, removing sugar lumps.
- Leave the homogeneous mass overnight.
- After the expiration of the period proceed to cooking jam. It will be implemented in three stages. Cook the composition for the first time for 30 minutes, then turn off the hotplate and let the product brew for 60 minutes.
- At the second cooking, you need to bring your composition to a boil. Next, make a slow fire and boil the composition for 30 minutes. Then turn off the jam and let it cool for 60 minutes.
- The third cooking is also carried out for 30 minutes. While the jam is being cooked, you must sterilize the jars.
- At the end of cooking, pour the treat into prepared containers, roll them up, turn them over, cover them with a warm blanket and wait until they cool completely. Then place the jars in a dark place to store.
