Ingredients
- Chokeberry - 1 kg
- Sugar - 1 kg
- Cherry leaf - 10 pcs.
- Water - 500 ml
Step cooking
- Separate 1 kg of mountain ash from the branches and rinse it thoroughly. Pass the berries through a colander so that they drain.
- Pour 500 ml of water into the pan and put it on fire.
- Once the water boils, throw 5-10 cherry leaves into it and boil them for 5 minutes. Remove the boiled sheets and add 1 kg of sugar instead. Boil the syrup until boiling, stirring thoroughly.
- In the boiled syrup, dip the prepared berries. Bring everything to a boil and boil for another 3 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave the jam overnight.
- In the morning, turn on the hotplate again and start cooking the jam until it boils. Let it boil for no more than 3 minutes, and turn off the heat. Leave the jam to cool until evening. In the evening, bring the jam to a boil, boil 3 more minutes. and turn off the hotplates. Sterilize the jars while the jam is cooking. Pour the hot jam into the jars, roll them upside down, and cover them with a blanket. Leave the jam alone until it cools completely.
