Ingredients
- Blackcurrant - 3 stacks.
- Sugar - 3 stacks.
- Water - 1 stack.
Step cooking
- We wash the berries of black currant in cold water.
- We measure out the necessary quantity and transfer to the pan.
- Pour half the sugar into the pan (one and a half cups).
- Immediately pour water. Mix.
- Put on fire and bring to a boil over low heat under a lid.
- Mix everything after boiling and remove the lid.
- Cook after boiling a couple of minutes.
- Add the remaining sugar to the pan.
- Mix and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Pour jam into jars. Close and leave to cool completely.
Cooking variations
Cooking jams according to this recipe will not take you much time. If you want to make more jam than in the recipe, just double the ingredients. The proportions are very simple, and remembering them is not at all difficult. You can make jam from any berries and fruits you want. Together with black currants, you can make jam with red currants or raspberries - this assortment is even more delicious than simple currant jam.
To add saturatedness and unusual taste to jam, you can add mint leaves or lemon. Thus, the jam will be sweet, but in moderation, with a pleasant acidity and freshness of mint. Jam can be served at the table if you cook pancakes or pancakes, pancakes or use as a filling for cakes and pies. Especially delicious with this jam are pies and pastries made from shortcrust pastry.
