- Water - 0.4-0.5 L
- Sugar - 0.7-0.8 kg
- Walnuts - 0.3 kg
Step cooking
- We clean the quince from the skin, remove the core and cut into thin slices; the weight of peeled fruit is 1.1 kg. We put the slices in a saucepan and fill with water so that it completely covers the fruit - it will take about 0.4-0.5 liters. Set the pot on the fire and bring the water to a boil. After that, let stand to cool completely.
- Pour 0.7-0.8 kg of sugar into the pan, mix, bring to a boil again. Leave to cool completely.
- So do 3-4 times. This is necessary so that quince slices are gradually saturated with syrup and at the same time remain intact.
- Coarsely chop 0.3 kg of walnuts. Heat the jam to a boil, pour the nuts into it and boil for 3-4 minutes.
- We spread the jam in pre-sterilized jars, roll it up, let it cool in a warm place.
