Puff pastry | 1 package (purchased); or 700-800 g homemade. |
Brown cane sugar (white can also be used) | 100-150 g |
Step cooking
- We take 100-150 g of butter, cut it into cubes and put in the microwave to completely melt it.
- We lay out our puff pastry (purchased or homemade) on a cutting board or work surface.
- With melted butter, grease the puff pastry with a brush.
- Now sprinkle the dough with brown cane sugar (100-150 g) or white. Taste.
- We begin to roll the dough into a roll.
- Carefully, so as not to tear the dough, take it by the edges and gradually wrap it inward.
- Roll the roll to the middle. Then we repeat the same thing on the other hand. We get 2 rolls rolled to the middle, the shape of the ears. We take a knife and cut our cookies. Somewhere 1 cm wide.
- Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cookies. We put in the oven and bake until golden brown. 10-15 minutes.
- When the cookie is cooked, take it out of the oven and transfer it to a plate.
Homemade Puff Pastry
If you prefer to cook everything yourself, including puff pastry, here is a small recommendation for you to cook it.
You will need: butter (300-360 g), flour (500-600 g), water (220 ml), salt (1 tsp), 9% vinegar (1 tsp) or lemon juice.
Sift flour into a bowl through a sieve, giving it airiness. We take butter (only from the refrigerator), roll it in flour and rub it into a dough on a coarse grater. Then rub the butter with the hands together with the flour.
Take a glass of cold water (220 ml) and dissolve in it 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. vinegar 9%. Gradually pour into flour and butter, stirring.
Now we collect the dough with our hands in one lump as quickly as possible so that the butter does not begin to melt. We collect it in the form of a brick and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour. The dough is ready, and you can start rolling and forming cookies according to the recipe above.
