Step cooking
- Pour 400 g of cottage cheese into a deep bowl. The best cottage cheese will be fresh homemade. But if it is not possible to purchase one, take a store of any fat content from a trusted manufacturer. If desired, the curd can be passed through a meat grinder or rubbed through a sieve, if you do not want curdled lumps to come across ready-made donuts.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar to the curd. The amount of sugar will depend on your preference. If you love the sweetest, add three spoons. Some housewives prepare such donuts without adding sugar at all, and with them serve jam, condensed milk or honey.
- Add 0.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.5 tsp. soda, slaked vinegar. Vinegar can be replaced with lemon juice. Instead of soda, you can use 5 g of baking powder. Then add it to the sifted flour and mix. We beat in two chicken eggs and mix all the ingredients. The mass can be mixed with a fork or beat with a submersible blender.
- Sift 10 tablespoons of flour into a separate bowl. 6-8 tablespoons are enough for kneading the dough, we will need the rest of the flour in the future. Add flour one tablespoon and knead the dough. While kneading the dough, we can put a frying pan or a saucepan with vegetable oil to bask. If you have a deep fat fryer, you can use it. If not, we recommend that you take a stewpan or a small pan with a thick bottom, pour odorless vegetable oil into it so that it fills the dishes 3-4 cm, and send to the fire. For frying donuts, the oil needs to be warmed up well.
- We continue to knead the dough with a spoon or dough mixer. It will stick to your hands, but the consistency is quite dense. Next to the stove where the saucepan is heated with butter, put a bowl of dough and a separate bowl of flour. Transfer to flour about 0.5 tbsp. l dough, roll it with flour, put a round shape with your hands and send it to the oil.
- We spread the donut blanks in boiling oil so that the distance between them remains, because during frying they will increase in volume. Fry on both sides until golden brown, about 1-1.5 minutes on one side. The frying time depends on your stove.
- We cover the flat dish with a paper towel and lay out the donuts to remove excess oil from them. Repeat this procedure with the whole test. If necessary, add oil or change it every two fries. We shift the donuts into a serving dish, let cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar and can serve. Additionally, you can offer jam, condensed milk, sour cream, honey, hot chocolate. From drinks it is very tasty with kefir, milk, fermented baked milk, tea or coffee.
