Ingredients
- Pork (or beef) - 200 - 300 g
- Carrots - 1 pc. (small)
- Water - 400 - 500 ml
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Coriander to taste
- Sunflower oil - 2 - 3 tbsp. l
- Potatoes - 4 - 5 pcs.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Peppercorns - 1 - 2 pcs.
- Bay leaf - 1 pc.
Step cooking
- We cut 200 - 300 g of pork or beef into cubes, approximately 2 - 3 cm.
- Onions (1 pc.) Peel, wash and cut into 2 parts. Each part is now cut into arbitrary cubes, small or large.
- We clean the carrots, wash them and chop them into 1 cm cubes. Focus on your taste, the cubes can be made in absolutely different sizes.
- We heat the pan on the stove and pour 2 - 3 tbsp. l sunflower oil.
- Pour our onion into a preheated pan. Fry a little until the color changes.
- Then add the meat to the pan. We turn on the fire to the full, so that the meat does not give off moisture.
- Fry for about a minute, stirring constantly.
- We shift the meat with onions into a deep pan.
- Then we fall asleep carrots.
- Spread the potatoes. We put the potatoes in their entirety, without cutting.
- Add the spices. ½ tsp salt, peppercorns (1 - 2 pcs.), coriander to taste and bay leaf (1 pc.). If someone does not like the spices are pronounced, add them 5 minutes before the end of cooking.
- Pour the vegetables with water (400 - 500 ml) so that it slightly covers all the ingredients.
- We cover the pan with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 40 - 45 minutes. The dish will be ready when the potatoes are ready.
Useful Tips
- You can stew potatoes with meat in a pan on the stove, in clay pots in the oven or in a slow cooker.
- For cooking, any kind of meat from fatty pork to a diet rabbit is suitable.
- Potatoes are best taken non-digestible, with a moderate starch content.
- Use seasoning. A few cloves of garlic will add extra flavor and pungency to the dish.
- For the sauce, you can use tomato or tomatoes, as well as sour cream.
- Stewed potatoes with meat can be served as a second course, or as a thick soup. For this sauce or gravy should be more than in the recipe. This dish perfectly satisfies hunger for a long time.
