Step cooking
- To get started, we will prepare the cabbage. We took one head of cabbage weighing approximately 700 g. Before cooking any dish of cauliflower, it is first necessary to boil it a little to make the dish juicy and as tasty as possible. We send a pot of water to the fire, add salt, let it boil. While the water begins to boil, we sort cabbage into inflorescences. We send it to boiling water and boil for 2-3 minutes. Then we get out with the help of a slotted spoon or we simply throw it back into a colander and let the excess liquid drain.
When buying, pay attention to the appearance of cabbage. Fresh inflorescences are white, without dark spots. We recommend that you purchase one. If dark spots come across, cut them with a knife. Even before cooking, we suggest keeping the cabbage in an alkaline solution so that all the garbage and dirt come out of it. To do this, pour warm water into a deep bowl, pour 1-2 teaspoons of salt into it, mix, let the salt dissolve. We put the head out so that it is completely covered with water. Leave for 15 minutes, then remove, dry and can use as intended.
- While the water is draining from the cabbage, let's take care of the rest of the ingredients. We wash 7-8 fresh tomatoes, cut the stem, cut them into small cubes. If there are no tomatoes, you can replace them with tomato juice or tomato paste. But with fresh tomatoes, the dish is as tasty as possible.
- We clean three cloves of garlic, rinse, cut very finely or pass through the garlic. We recommend that you remove the core from garlic, because it is it that gives a taste of bitterness to the finished dish.
- We clean the three onions, rinse, cut into small cubes.
- We send the pan to the fire, pour three tablespoons of vegetable oil, let it warm. Pour the onions and fry, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
- Add cabbage to the onion and fry, stirring, for 2-3 minutes.
- Then pour the chopped tomatoes, mix, reduce heat and simmer for 8 minutes under the lid. During this time, we wash a bunch of herbs, we recommend using assorted parsley and dill. Dry a little and cut very finely.
- After the specified time, remove the lid, add salt, pepper to taste, chopped greens and garlic, mix, cover and simmer until the cabbage is ready, and this is no more than 5 minutes. After that, turn off the fire, remove the sample for spices, if necessary, add salt.
- Serve the food still warm to any side dish or as a complement to fish and meat products.
