Step cooking
- First, make yeast. To do this, pour 300 tbsp in 300-310 ml of warm water. l sugar, 1 tbsp. l with a hill of flour and 2 tsp. dry yeast. Mix well for several minutes. Leave the liquid to stand aside.
- Pour 150 g of sour cream with 10% fat into a separate bowl. Instead of 10% sour cream, you can also use yogurt without any additives. Add 1/2 tsp to sour cream. salt and pour 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Whisk all the ingredients thoroughly.
- We proceed to the process of preparing and kneading the dough. Pour 600 g of flour into a deep bowl or basin. It is required to choose a larger bowl so that it is convenient to knead the dough. Pour water with yeast into the flour and add sour cream.
- Knead the dough with a spatula. If it turns out to be very liquid, then add a little more flour. Ready dough should be soft and not stick to your hands.
- We continue to knead the dough on a flat surface, which is sprinkled with flour a little.
- We divide the finished dough into 12 equal pieces, each of which is rolled out to make an even ball.
- We leave the balls from the dough on the table, cover with cling film and leave to infuse for a few minutes. Put the frying pan on the stove to warm up. While it is warming, we smear a few drops of vegetable oil on a large flat plate. It is more convenient to do this with a silicone brush. We spread a ball of dough on a plate and stretch it to form a circle with a diameter of 16-17 cm. We do the same with each cake.
- Put the tortilla on the preheated frying pan and fry over medium heat for 1-2 minutes. Before turning the cake, grease it with vegetable oil.
- In a steam bath or in a microwave oven, melt 30-40 g of butter. Finely chop 1 bunch of parsley and add to the melted butter, mixing everything well.
- We spread on top each finished cake with butter and parsley, using a silicone brush. The finished cake can be stuffed with butter, folded in half and served to guests. Also, Turkish cakes can be made sweet, greasing them instead of parsley with honey or any jam to your liking.
