Step cooking
- Rinse the tuna fillet (400 g) in water, dry it with a paper or kitchen towel and cut into 2 cm thick pieces with long smooth movements. This is very important. If the pieces are thin, the steak will quickly fry, and we need to cook it so that the tuna remains pink inside.
- Pour 2 pinches of salt, 1 tsp into a mortar for grinding seasonings. coriander seeds, 1 pinch of fennel seeds, 1 pinch of black pepper and grind everything well. In this case, the quality and flavor of the seasoning is of great importance, so if you want to get a truly refined dish, you need to get high-quality spices.
- Sprinkle the chopping board on top with the cooked seasoning, lay out the fish and roll it well on all sides.
- Pour on top of each piece for 1 tsp. olive oil and grate them with tuna on all sides.
- A prepared steak can be prepared in two ways: in a regular pan and in a grill pan. If you have both options in your arsenal, be sure to try two types of roasting, because the finished dish in each case will turn out to be different in taste. Put frying pans on the stove: ordinary should be medium-heated, and grill - strongly.
- Put a piece of tuna in each and fry on each side for about 1.5-2 minutes. After the tuna is fried on one side, 1 tbsp can be added to a conventional pan. l olive oil and flip. No need to add oil to the grill pan, the steak should be fried on a dry and corrugated surface.
- Put the prepared steaks on a cutting board, pour olive oil (1 tsp each), transfer to a convenient dish and serve with a suitable side dish. To add spice to the taste, you can also sprinkle the fish with a small amount of lemon juice (0.5 tsp will be enough).

This dish goes well with a variety of vegetables: tomatoes, carrots, peppers, eggplant, zucchini, spinach and various herbs. If you want to make a light and nutritious dinner, a tuna steak with vegetable salad and stew will be a good option.
