Ingredients
- Chicken fillet (boiled) - 150 g
- Chives - 1 bunch
- Hard cheese - 100 g
- Tomato - 1 pc.
- Sour cream - 3 tbsp. l
- Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
- Milk - 50 ml
- Fresh basil - 3-4 branches
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Thin pita bread - 1 pc.
- Vegetable oil - for frying
Step cooking
- First you need to boil the chicken in salted water and let it cool directly in the broth. Pour sour cream into a glass or plate.
- Peel the garlic, grate it and put it in a glass to sour cream. You can skip through a special press or chop finely with a knife.
- Add a pinch of salt to the glass to taste and mix the sauce well with a spoon. Set the glass aside so that the sauce is infused. Instead of sour cream, you can also use thick Greek yogurt.
- Rinse, towel dry tomato, basil and green onions. Cut the tomato into thin slices. If desired, you can chop in any other way.
- Cut cooled boiled chicken fillet into thin slices.
- We also cut hard cheese into thin slices. You can take any kind of cheese to your liking.
- Grind the basil randomly with a knife. Chop green onions.
- We cut the pita bread into strips with a width of approximately 15 cm and a length of 45 cm. You can not adhere to the exact dimensions and cut into any strips as you wish. On a strip of pita bread we spread a little sour cream sauce on one side. Visually select a square and spread the sauce on the surface of this square.
- Put chicken fillet on top of the sauce in a triangle.
- Put basil on slices of boiled fillet. Add green onion on top.
- Then add slices of tomato and salt a little. Spread the pieces of cheese on top.
- We cover the filling with the free end of the square to make a triangle.
- Further we turn this triangle, moving across the entire surface of the strip of pita bread. In the end, you should get a triangle of pita bread with a completely closed filling inside.
- Getting to the batter. Break the eggs into a glass, add a pinch of salt, pepper and pour the milk. Mix the contents well with a fork until completely homogeneous and pour into a wide plate or bowl so that it is convenient to dip the triangles from pita bread.
- We put the pan on the fire and pour the vegetable oil. We take a triangle of pita bread with a filling and dip it well in batter from all sides. It is necessary to ensure that the batter well covers all sides for their further gluing.
- On a well-heated frying pan, put the triangle in batter and fry on each side for 3-4 minutes over moderate heat.
- Turn the triangles over and seal the ends as desired.
- We put ready-made envelopes on paper towels to remove excess fat after frying.
- Put the triangles on plates and serve. Enjoy your meal!
