Ingredients
- Wheat flour - 1.5 stacks. plus 1 tbsp. l for cream
- Egg - 2 pcs.
- Condensed milk - 130 g
- Milk - 250 ml
- Butter - 100 g
- Sugar - 0.5 stack.
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla Sugar - 20 g
- Table vinegar - 1 tsp.
- Soda - 0.5 tsp.
Step cooking
- We begin to prepare the dough for shortcakes: pour into a deep bowl 130 g of condensed milk.
- We break 1 egg in the same bowl and shake everything with a fork or whisk.
- Pour into the dough 1 tsp. vinegar, add a pinch of salt and 0.5 tsp. soda.
- Pour 250-300 g of flour (1.5 cups without a slide) and mix everything thoroughly with a fork first, and then you need to manually knead the dough.
- We roll the dough into a thick sausage, and then cut it across into 6-8 pieces. To prevent the dough from sticking to your hands and to the rolling surface, add a little flour.
- Each piece is rolled out with a rolling pin into a thin round cake along the diameter of the pan.
- Bake the cakes in a dry preheated pan for 1 minute on each side until browning. Remove the finished cakes from the pan and put the slide on top of each other.
- Do not worry if your cakes have jagged edges. After all the cakes are ready, put a plate or saucer of the desired diameter on top of each and carefully remove excess dough along the edge.
- The resulting scraps are crushed into crumbs and set aside for dusting.
- Now we prepare the custard: pour 250 ml of milk into the pan, drive 1 egg there, add 1 tbsp. l flour and 100 g of sugar. For flavor, add 20 g of vanilla sugar.
- Stir the contents of the pan and heat, bringing to a boil. After boiling, reduce the heat, and stirring constantly, cook until thickened for about 5 minutes.
- In a hot cream, place 100 g of butter, mix well and boil for another 30 seconds.
- Spoon warm cream onto the cakes, folding them one by one.
- The top of the cake is also greased with cream and sprinkled with crumbs from the scraps of cake. You can grease the cake with cream in all directions and also sprinkle crumbs on the sides.
- Before serving the cake to the table, let it cool and soak in the cream. To do this, the cake is cleaned in a cold place at least for 2 hours, and preferably - at night.
