Step cooking
- We begin the preparation of tomato sauce by washing and peeling one small onion from the husk. Then, with a sharp knife, cut the onion into small slices. Onions should not be cut too large, as it will be very noticeable in the finished sauce.
- Peel 3 small cloves of garlic from the husk. Cut it into thin slices, the thickness of which is not more than 1 mm. You can also chop the garlic into small cubes so that it is less felt in the finished sauce, and only a light garlic flavor is present.
- We put the frying pan on the kitchen surface and pour about 1 tsp. vegetable oil. Heat the oil over medium heat.
- We put chopped onion with garlic into a heated pan. On medium or high heat, slightly warm them so that they do not fry, but only a pleasant aroma appears. You need to mix the ingredients regularly with a spatula, as they can burn. To the heated onion with garlic, add 1.5 tbsp to the pan. l tomato paste and mix thoroughly with a spatula. We give the tomato paste, onion and garlic a little fry over medium heat.
- Add 1 tsp to tomato sauce. sugar and 1-2 tsp. wine vinegar. If this is not, then it is possible to add apple cider vinegar to the sauce. Re-mix all the ingredients. Wine vinegar and sugar give the tomato sauce a pleasant sourness, but at the same time make its taste slightly sweet. Tomatoes with similar ingredients blend well and interact better.
- When the tomato paste begins to boil a little, add about 50 ml of water to it to make its texture a little thinner. After adding the liquid, mix all the products a little to a homogeneous consistency.
- After adding the liquid, let the sauce boil a few more minutes and turn off the heat. In the finished tomato sauce, add boiled pasta and mix well. You can also use this sauce for cooking fish or meat.
