Step cooking
- Defrost the tilapia fillet (9 pieces), rinse with running water, let it drain and be sure to dry with paper towels. Put the fillet on a cutting board or a large dish (without cutting into portions) and salt on top using 1-1.5 pinch of salt. Pepper the fish to your taste using black ground pepper or a mixture of peppers.
- Use your hand to squeeze (squeeze) the salt and pepper into the fish fillet and flip the pieces on the other side. Repeat the same steps: add salt (1-1.5 with a pinch of salt), pepper (to your taste) and crush spices with your hand.
- Roll all the fish in flour. It is easy to do this: pour flour (1 cup) into a tray that has a lid. Put one piece of tilapia fillet in a tray with flour, cover and gently shake the tray. Place the tray, open the lid and put the fish fillet on a dry plate. So do with all pieces of fish. With this method of loafing fish fillet, the flour does not crumble, and the workplace remains clean.
- When all the fillets are rolled in flour, turn on the non-stick pan to heat and pour a small amount of oil (15-20 ml) into it. The fire should be slightly less than average. While the oil is warming in a deep bowl, beat the chicken eggs (3 pieces), slightly salt them and beat with a whisk or fork.
- When the oil is warm, take the fillet, chopped in flour, and dip in the eggs. Put the fillet in a pan immediately afterwards.
- Fry tilapia in batter until golden brown on one side and the other for 2-3 minutes on each side. Put the finished fish on a dry plate or dish. In this way, fry all the fillets.
Decoration methods and serving options
Serve hot tilapia in batter, lay the pieces on a large dish and garnish with sprigs of fresh herbs (dill, parsley, cilantro or basil). From garnishes to mashed potato and white boiled rice are suitable for tilapia in batter.
You can also make a vegetable cut (fresh cucumber, tomato and bell pepper of different colors) or a vegetable salad with olive oil, in which fresh cabbage will prevail. Dry white wine, which is ideal for fried tilapia in batter, will help to add a romantic touch.
