Step cooking
- Put the cottage cheese in a deep bowl. It is better to choose cottage cheese not too dry, medium fat, up to 18-20%. However, if not in the refrigerator
- Knead the cottage cheese with a fork and add butter to it. The oil must be softened, so it must be kept at room temperature for a while or slightly warmed in the microwave.
- Add salt and sugar. If the dough is prepared for salt baking, then sugar is enough, as in the recipe. However, for sweet pastries, you need to increase the amount of sugar in 2 or 3 times. Also in the latter case, you can add vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract).
- Soft butter and cottage cheese should combine into a beautiful dense mass.
- Beat the egg and pour it into the cottage cheese with butter. To stir thoroughly.
- Take the flour and sift it through a sieve directly into a bowl with curd mass. Sift the baking powder for the dough with flour.
- Knead the dough. Be careful: the dough should be soft, tender, but at the same time it should not stick to your hands. If necessary, you can add more flour.
- Form a ball from the dough. Sprinkle the bottom of the bowl with flour, put the curd dough on top and cover with cling film. Send the bowl for 15 minutes in the refrigerator. After 15 minutes, get the dough and continue to cook!
At the output, you will get about 700 g of dough. This is enough for cookies, rolls or pies. But if you want to make a pie, then such an amount is unlikely to be enough - double the ingredients.
