Step cooking
- Sift 500 g of wheat flour into a deep plate.
- Add a pinch of salt to the flour.
- There we rub on an average grater 150 g of frozen butter and mix it with flour.
- We introduce 200 ml of cold beer to the rest of the ingredients.
- Knead the dough with your hands until it becomes homogeneous and elastic.
- We cover the finished dough with cling film and remove it in a cold place for 1 hour.
Ready dough can be used for baking pies, cookies, puffs and crackers. It turns out to be fragile, layered and very tasty. Such dough can be stored even in the freezer and used as necessary. You can be sure that it will not lose its properties.
Useful Tips
There are several recommendations, following which you will be able to prepare the right puff pastry:
- Prefer the use of light, weak beer, because dark has a very pronounced taste, which will be felt in baking.
- Do not add sugar to the dough, otherwise it will not turn out puff.
- Be sure to use frozen butter to knead the dough.
- Cook the dough indoors, where the air temperature does not exceed 20 degrees.
