Step cooking
- In a deep bowl in which it will be convenient for you to mix all the ingredients for the dough, send 250 ml of kefir. You can choose a fermented milk product of any fat content. In a bowl with kefir, add 45 g of sour cream. It is recommended to choose sour cream fatter to make the dough more tasty. You can use homemade sour cream, which is quite oily.
- Drive 1 egg yolk into the kefir-sour cream mixture. You can use a whole chicken egg with protein, but with the addition of one yolk, the dough comes out softer.
- Pour 25 g of odorless vegetable oil into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients, making the dough elastic. Add 1 tsp to the bowl. sugar and the same amount of salt and begin to mix everything well with a whisk. It takes 2-3 minutes to do this until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
- For the test you will need about 400 g of wheat flour, which must be sifted. Thus, the flour will be saturated with oxygen, and the cake will come out more magnificent.
- Sift 6 g of baking powder together with flour. Instead of baking powder, you can use baking soda in the amount of 1/2 tsp. You do not need to add more soda, otherwise it will be strongly felt in the finished baking. After adding the sifted baking powder and flour, we proceed to kneading the dough. It is most convenient to do this with your hands. Knead the dough in a deep bowl until it comes out tender, soft and elastic.
- We put the well-kneaded dough on the table, lightly sprinkled with flour, and cover the top with cling film. Leave the dough to rest at room temperature for at least a quarter of an hour.
- After 15 minutes, the dough can be opened and proceed directly to the preparation of the pie. Kefir dough made according to this recipe comes out very soft, tender and tasty. In addition to the pie, you can make pies with any filling from it, which can be baked in the oven or fried in a pan.
