Ingredients
Premium flour | 1 kg |
Butter or Margarine | 100 g |
Dry yeast | 15 g |
Sugar | 160 g |
Chicken eggs | 2 pcs. |
Salt | 1 tsp |
Warm milk | 500 g |
Vegetable oil | 50 g |
Step cooking
- Pour 500 ml of warm milk into a large deep bowl, add 15 g of dry yeast to it, mix well and leave for 5 minutes to dissolve the yeast.
- Add 50 g of flour, 20 g of sugar, mix everything again and leave the dough in a warm place for 15 minutes. When the dough is suitable, add 100 g of melted butter or baking margarine, a teaspoon of salt, 140 g of sugar and mix thoroughly all the ingredients to dissolve.
- Now, in the resulting liquid mass, it is necessary to add the sifted flour (950 g) in small portions and knead the dough. Do not pour out all the flour at once, firstly, it will be quite difficult to mix such a mass, and secondly, everyone has different flour. Perhaps you need not exactly 1 kg, but a little more or less. Also, the main thing is not to overdo it, otherwise the dough will turn out steep and will not work well.
- Put the resulting dough on the working surface of the table or a special mat, grease your hands with vegetable oil (approximately 50 g will be needed), pour the dough on top of them and continue kneading the dough with your hands for another 10-15 minutes. As a result, it should turn out to be soft and elastic.
- Lubricate a deep bowl (in which the dough was kneaded) with vegetable oil, put the dough out, cover the bowl with cling film and leave in a warm place for 60-90 minutes. In the cold season, you can wrap the bowl with a warm towel or preheat the oven and send the dough to infuse. In warm weather, especially if it’s hot outside, you can leave the bowl directly on the table.
- In the process of simple dough, you can knead it 1-2 times.
Various pastries can be made from the prepared dough, including cheesecakes with various fillings, pies, rolls, bagels, and even Easter cakes.
