Step cooking
- First, heat 1 cup of milk in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. Pour the warmed milk into a deep bowl and add about 10-15 g of dry yeast to it. Mix yeast with milk well until completely dissolved with a whisk. You can also use wet yeast, this recipe will not change, but then they will need twice as much.
- In the milk-yeast mixture, add 1-2 tbsp. l sugar and beat one chicken egg. Optionally, you can use 2 chicken eggs, this will not affect the taste, but will make the dough denser. Then pour in a bowl 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil and pour about 0.5 tsp. salt. Mix all the ingredients well with a whisk until smooth.
- Using a sieve, gradually sift 2 cups of wheat flour into a bowl and mix it well with a spoon with all the ingredients until thick.
- Sprinkle a small amount of flour onto the work surface and transfer the dough onto it. Knead the dough with your hands for about 10 minutes until a smooth lump is obtained. If necessary, add some flour to the dough so that it does not stick to the table and hands.
- Then sprinkle the bowl with flour and transfer the dough into it. Cover the bowl with cling film and place in a warm place for 1 hour to make the dough fit.
- After 1 hour, knead the approached dough well with your hands to release excess air, cover with foil and leave for another 1 hour.
- Then again knead the dough, and you can start cooking baking. The dough is very tender and airy.
Instead of milk, you can use warm water for the test. The difference here is that milk makes the finished products lush and airy, and water makes the crust of baked pizza coarser and harder. In this case, rely on your taste preferences.
You can use yeast dough in milk not only for pizza, but also for making pies or pies with absolutely various fillings - meat, vegetable, cottage cheese or with jam. This dough is well suited for sweet and savory pastries. It is quite versatile, turn on the imagination and cook pizza, flavored pastries or fried pies.
