Step cooking
- To prepare the dough, sift in a deep bowl 2 cups of wheat flour with a sieve. If desired, you can mix wheat flour with a small amount of rye flour.
- Make a small depression in the flour and beat one chicken egg into it.
- Add about 25-30 g of butter to the flour. If desired, you can melt it in a saucepan on the stove or in the microwave, so that it is more convenient to knead the dough. Instead of butter, you can use vegetable oil.
- Pour about 1-1.5 tsp. Into a bowl to all ingredients. sugar and pour 1 cup of milk. Instead of milk, you can use water. Flour and milk may be needed more or less depending on the quality.
- Sprinkle all the ingredients with approximately ½ tsp. salt, then knead the dough with a tablespoon. Sift some more flour if necessary.
- When the dough is thickened and it becomes difficult to knead it with a spoon, sprinkle a small amount of flour on the work surface, put the dough on it and knead it well with your hands for 7-10 minutes.
- You should have a uniform, tight lump. Put the finished dough in a bowl, cover with cling film and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes to make the dough more elastic and resilient.
- When the dough is infused, you can form baskets from it and fill them with filling. As a filling, you can use completely different ingredients at your discretion - mushrooms, minced meat, bacon, ham, onions, chicken eggs, hard cheese, potatoes, herbs, cabbage and various spices.
