Step cooking
- Pour 180 ml of water into the pan and put it on the stove to boil.
- Sift 360 g flour into a bowl.
- In water, just removed from the fire, add 1 teaspoon of salt, mix until the salt dissolves.
- In the flour, make a deepening and pour boiling water in parts. Mix the dough with a fork.
- Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and continue to knead the dough with a fork.
- As soon as the mass becomes warm and the hands can endure, we shift the dough onto the table and knead the dough.
- Knead the dough for about 4-5 minutes. The dough is pleasant, soft, elastic. Wrap the dough in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
- After this time, we roll out the flagellum from the dough and divide it into 12 parts. Roll up the ball from each part. We put the pellet balls in a bowl and cover with cling film so that they do not dry out, and let them rest for a few minutes. We get the balls one at a time.
- The diameter of the cake will be approximately 22 centimeters. Take the first piece, knead it a little with your hands. We dust the board with flour and roll the cake. The cake should be very thin, such that the table is visible.
- We give the cake a rounded shape with the help of a plate.
- We roll all the cakes at once, because they are fried too quickly. Sprinkle them with flour and stack them on top of each other.
Ways of decorating and serving
Pita bread is fried in a dry frying pan. You can wrap anything in a ready-made pita bread. It all depends on your imagination and taste. Most often, pita bread with a filling is wrapped in rolls.
- For the preparation of cottage cheese roll from pita bread, cottage cheese and finely chopped greens are used to taste (dill, parsley, mint, basil, cilantro). Then the roll is cut into portions and fried in vegetable oil on both sides.
- Another roll can be made from grated cheese and finely chopped crab sticks. Then it is placed in the refrigerator for an hour and then cut into portioned pieces.
- A very interesting roll is obtained from smoked chicken and Korean carrots. Layers of pita bread are smeared with chopped garlic mayonnaise. Finely chopped chicken is laid out on one layer, and Korean carrots on the other. All this is rolled up and sent to the refrigerator for an hour. Before serving, cut into portioned slices.
