- wheat flour - 400-500 g
- butter - 200 g
- baking powder for dough - 10 g
- granulated sugar - 100 g
- apples - 1 kg

Step cooking
Knead the dough
- First, measure out 200 g of butter and cut it into small squares.
- Separately, sift through a fine sieve 500 g of premium wheat flour. Pour 400 g of sifted product onto a silicone mat, on which we will knead the dough.
- We make a small depression in the center of the flour mixture, and then put the chopped butter in it.
- Grind the components in the palms of your hands until you get a pea-sized crumb.
- Add 10 g of baking powder there and continue kneading the dough until it is gathered in a ball and gains a homogeneous mass. If necessary, add the missing amount of flour.
- We divide the resulting dough into two equal parts, after that we wrap one of them in a plastic wrap and put it in the freezer.
Prepare the filling
- We thoroughly rinse the apples of sweet and sour varieties in the amount of 1 kg with water from the tap, then cut the core, remove the seeds and tail, and also cut the peel. Peeled fruits are cut into small thin cubes and put in a deep bowl.
- Add 100 g of granulated sugar to apples and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
We collect and bake a pie
- We roll the second piece of dough with a rolling pin into a round layer, the thickness of which should not exceed 7 mm.
- Transfer the resulting workpiece to a baking sheet and give it a neat rounded shape.
- On top of the dough we spread a mixture of apples and sugar, forming a fairly thick layer.
- Sprinkle apples with ground cinnamon, sifting it through a fine strainer to avoid lumps. Determine the amount of cinnamon yourself, focusing on your own taste.
- We take the first slice of dough from the freezer and rub it on a coarse grater. We spread the grated dough on top of apples, form a kind of “hat” from it.
- We send the cake to the oven heated to 180 ° С. Bake a treat for 40-45 minutes.
- We allow the finished product to cool completely, and then cut it into portioned pieces and serve.
