Step cooking
- Rinse and boil in a ladle until half cooked 75 g of rice (about 5 minutes, the water should be slightly salted).
- We clear 1 onion and 1 carrot from inedible elements. Cut the onion into small cubes, and rub the carrots on a coarse grater. Pour 1-2 tbsp into a heated pan. l vegetable oil and fry the onion first until golden brown, and then add carrots to it and cook until both products are soft.
- In a deep container we put 200 g of minced pork. You can cook it yourself using a meat grinder or blender or buy in a store. Here we add rice, frying from carrots and onions and ½ tsp. salt, ground black pepper and granulated garlic.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- From the resulting mass we sculpt meatballs of the same size. So that they stick better and do not pester, we wet our hands with cold water.
- A total of approximately 8 meat balls. We spread them in a baking dish, greased with vegetable oil. We put them at a distance from each other to fit the potatoes.
- Peel 500 g of potato and cut it into 4-5 mm thick slices. If the potato is large, it can be divided into 2 parts, each of which is already cut in the right way.
- Spread potato slices between meatballs. We send the form to the oven preheated to 200ºC for 15 minutes.
- At this time, we are preparing the filling: in a separate container, mix 2 tbsp. l sour cream 15-20% fat, 200 ml of water, 1 tbsp. l tomato paste and ½ tbsp. l salt and ground pepper.
- Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
- We take out the form from the oven and fill the meatballs and potatoes with the sauce. We continue to cook the dish for 25 minutes at the same temperature.
- Rub 50 g of any hard cheese on a coarse grater. Sprinkle them meatballs and potatoes and let stand in the oven for another 5 minutes.
- We serve the finished dish to the table hot. It contains both meat and a wonderful side dish. Additionally, decorate with sour cream, chopped herbs, aromatic herbs and other ingredients to your taste.
