Step cooking
- Prepare rice: 2 tbsp. l without a slide, fill it with one glass of water and set it to cook until half ready. While the rice is cooking, prepare other products.
- One medium-sized carrot, rub on a coarse grater. Peel the onion head and grate it on a coarse grater or skip it through a meat grinder.
- Turkey meat (350 - 400 g) with a grinder in a meat grinder. You can also buy ready-made stuffing.
- 70 g of zucchini (about one third of a small fruit) wash and rub on a medium grater. If the zucchini is young, then rub along with the skin. Zucchini in meatballs is added for juiciness. For the same purpose, instead of zucchini, pumpkin or bell pepper is suitable.
- The rice cooked until half cooked is thrown into a colander and left to drain. Rinse rice is not necessary.
- We chop the cloves of garlic (2 pcs.) In a garlic press or chop it finely with a knife. Prepare your favorite seasonings.
- We begin to combine the ingredients: add onion, carrots, zucchini, rice, garlic and seasonings to the minced meat.
- Knead everything thoroughly with a spoon or just with your hands.
- We proceed to the formation of meatballs. Wet your fingers in water and roll small balls (5-6 cm in diameter) from the minced meat. These round semi-finished products are carefully laid out on a flat plate or board.
- We prepare a double boiler: pour water to the “maximum” mark. Put spices and a clove of garlic in half in the middle of the strainer for flavor. You can cook in a slow cooker, if it has a special container for cooking steamed dishes.
- A double boiler allows you to cook a main course and a side dish at the same time. Therefore, in the lower bowl you can put meatballs, and in the upper side dish, for example green peas and cauliflower.
- We set the time for half an hour, close the device with a lid and go about our business. After 30 minutes, delicious and healthy meatballs from turkey are ready. They are laid out on a plate, decorated with chopped greens. Served with low-fat sour cream or with a side dish of steamed vegetables.
