Step cooking
- In a plate we put 2 large pieces of bread and fill it with 100 milliliters of milk, let it go limp.
- At this time, we take 300 grams of lean beef meat and cut it into medium cubes.
- Pass the chopped meat and the already softened bun through a meat grinder.
- In the prepared meat, add one chicken egg, freshly ground black pepper and 1 large clove of garlic, passed through the garlic squeezer, mix everything well and set the meat aside.
- Now let's take care of the vegetables. Take 2 medium onions and chop them with a knife. We cut one large carrot into small cubes.
- From meatballs we make small balls with our hands, about the same size. We put the pan on a gas stove, pour a little sunflower oil and heat it. We put meatballs on a heated pan and fry them on 4 sides over medium heat.
- We put ready meatballs in a plate. Pour a little more sunflower oil into the hot pan and spread the onion and carrot previously chopped onto it, frying them until they turn golden.
- Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to the vegetables.
- Add black ground pepper and dried paprika to taste. Salt to taste and put 1 teaspoon of sugar, mix everything and fry for another 2 minutes. Next, pour 1 cup of water, 1 tea boat of dried grass and 1 bay leaf. Mix everything thoroughly. Add meatballs to the sauce, place them well in a pan.
- We are waiting for the seething and set the fire to a minimum. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Turn off the fire, the dish is ready! Enjoy your meal!
Rice side dish
The best side dish for meatballs is rice. To prepare it, take 1 cup of jasmine rice, rinse it and put it in a pan with a hard bottom. Pour cold water into the saucepan with rice, salt and place on a stove to cook. Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat, cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes. All liquid should evaporate. The lid often does not need to be opened so that the steam does not go away, do not top up the water and do not interfere with the rice. It should be steamed. When all the liquid has evaporated, turn off the heat and let it brew for another 5-6 minutes under the lid.
