Cottage cheese | 300 g |
Adyghe cheese | 150 g |

Step cooking
- On a coarse grater, rub into a deep bowl 150 g of Adyghe cheese.
- We spread 300 g of cottage cheese there. Add 1 egg and begin to mix the mass. After stirring, add another 1 egg.
- We interfere until the mass is homogeneous. Try to grind so that there are less lumps. Finely chop a small bunch of dill.
- We spread it to the curd mass. Add 0.5 tsp. salt. Mix well again so that the greens are evenly distributed. Sift 3 tbsp. l flour and knead the dough, from which we will mold small balls. Before we bake the waffles, grease the waffle iron lattices with butter. We roll the balls with our hands and send them to the waffle iron, or you can lay them out with a spoon.
- Hot wafers must be laid out on a wooden surface (cutting board) in one layer, so that they dry out a little, then they will become crispy.
Waffles are crispy, but inside they are very soft.
Cooking options
- If you don’t have a waffle iron - dough balls can be fried just in a pan, but then it will turn out cheese donuts.
- Waffles can be baked in the oven by placing them in silicone waffle tins.
- Adyghe cheese in this recipe can be replaced with any hard or semi-hard cheese that you have available.
- Wheat flour can be replaced with a lower-calorie one: buckwheat, rice, corn, etc.
- When mixing the dough, add your favorite spices, if you like spicy dishes - add a little chili powder or ground black.
- Spinach leaves can be added to dill or parsley. And if you want the waffles to turn green, beat the spinach with eggs in a blender.
- Serve waffles with sour cream.
- Pieces of red fish can be put on waffles, and then this dish can be offered to guests for a holiday.
- You can also change the shape of the waffles. When you just removed the finished waffles from the grill, screw them into a tube and leave to cool. You can twist the wafer with an envelope and stuff with any filling.
