Step cooking
- Thaw puff pastry first. Turn on the oven. It should warm up to 200 degrees.
- Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
- Add one egg to the grated cheese and mix well.
- Dust the table with flour. Roll out the dough with a thin layer of 1-2 mm and cut into two equal parts.
- Put the egg and cheese mixture on one part of the rolled dough and spread evenly with a spoon.
- Cover with the second part of the rolled dough and roll it slightly with a rolling pin.
- Cut the resulting dough into equal strips 2-3 cm wide.
- Twist the flagella from the obtained test strips. To do this, it is enough to make 4-5 turns around the axis.
- Place the flagella on a baking sheet sent by baking paper.
- Beat the yolk of the second egg in a bowl. Lubricate the surface of the cheese sticks with the resulting mass.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds on top.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Let the chopsticks cool slightly and serve. They are equally tasty both in hot and in cool form. Enjoy your meal!
Cooking options
To prepare these cheese sticks, you can use ready-made both yeast and yeast-free puff pastry. There is not much difference in this. The main thing is to choose a quality product of trusted brands.
You can also experiment with different varieties of cheese. As a filling, fresh greens, garlic or fried onions are sometimes added to the cheese. Instead of sesame seeds, you can use cumin, ground paprika or other spices to your liking.
