Step cooking
Dough
- In a deep container we combine dry ingredients: 250 g of sifted wheat flour, ½ tsp. salt, 1 tsp sugar and 1.5 tsp dry yeast. All this mix. If desired, dry yeast can be replaced with live yeast in appropriate proportions.
- Add to the dry ingredients 2 tbsp. l olive oil (can be replaced with sunflower oil) and 200-250 ml of warm, but in no case hot water.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes. So that it does not stick to your hands, add more flour or vegetable oil.
- We cover the container with the dough with a towel so that air does not circulate inside and put in a warm place so that the dough rises.
Sauce
- In a stewpan or a small saucepan, pour 1 tsp. olive oil and add 150 ml of grated tomatoes (tomato paste is also suitable), a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper, ½ tsp each. dried oregano and basil (a mixture of "Italian herbs").
- To taste, add spicy Tabasco sauce to make it burning, and sugar if the tomatoes are too acidic.
- We put the stewpan on the stove and let the sauce boil for 5 minutes, stirring often.
Collect pizza
- When the dough is ready for further work, divide it into portioned pieces the size of a fist. Hard cheese (mozzarella is used in the recipe), cut into large cubes.
- Put in each of the pieces at the rate of 1 piece of cheese per 1 serving of dough.
- We form approximately the same balls from the dough with cheese and put them on a frying pan or baking dish, greased with vegetable oil, in the form of one composition.
- Grease the balls on top with a layer of sauce using a culinary brush.
- Grate the remaining cheese on a coarse grater and evenly sprinkle future pizza.
- Put thin slices of smoked sausage, such as salami or pepperoni, on top of the cheese. Add as many sausages as you see fit.
- We heat the oven to 200-220ºС and bake pizza in it for 20-25 minutes. After baking, pizza can be sprinkled with fresh chopped herbs.
