Vegetable oil (for frying) | 40-60 ml |
Step cooking
- Prepare the pork liver (1 kg). Rinse and pat dry with paper towels. Cut the liver into arbitrary pieces of any shape, the main thing is that the thickness of the pieces does not exceed 1 cm.
- Peel the onion (3 pieces) and cut into half rings 5-6 mm wide.
- Put the pan on the stove and pour vegetable oil (40-60) ml. When the oil is warm, put the onions in the pan and, stirring occasionally, fry until golden brown.
- While the onion fries, marinate the sliced pork liver. Add sugar (a teaspoon), salt (a teaspoon) and baking soda (a teaspoon) into a bowl of liver. Mix everything well and leave the liver to stand a little.
- Transfer the onions fried to golden color without oil in a plate. Salt it with a pinch of salt and pepper with black pepper to taste. Stir the onions on a plate.
- Put the pieces of prepared pork liver in the pan in the remaining oil (the oil should be well warmed up) (you can pan the liver in flour if desired) and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side. The longer the liver is fried, the rougher it becomes, so that as soon as the donut disappears in it, the liver is ready.
- Put the fried liver on a serving plate or plate and spread the onion evenly on top. Leave the dish to stand for 5 minutes, so that the liver is saturated with the aroma of onions.
Decoration methods and serving options
Ready-made pork liver with onions, fried in a pan, serve hot with any side dish. Fried pork liver with mashed potatoes is especially well combined. You can also serve it with pasta, rice or buckwheat. Of the pickles, a good combination is delicious sauerkraut or a salad in Hungarian.
