Step cooking
- Take 1.5 liters of water, bring to a boil. Peel 4 small beets from the skin.
- Cut the beets into circles and then long strips along the whole beets.
- In boiled water, add 1 tbsp. l lemon juice, 1 tbsp. l sugar and 1 tsp. salt.
- Next, send the chopped beets into the water, bring to a boil, cover and simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes.
- When the beets are boiled, remove the pan from the stove and cool completely.
- Thinly chop 2 cucumbers.
- Finely chop 25 g of dill and 25 g of green onions.
- When the beetroot broth has cooled, add chopped cucumbers and greens to it, then put in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Boil 4 eggs for 10 minutes after boiling, cool, peel and cut into cubes.
- Mix to a homogeneous state 150 g of sour cream and 2 tsp. mustard.
- After cooling, pour the beetroot on plates. In each plate, put chopped eggs and 1 tbsp. l sour cream mixed with mustard. Enjoy your meal.
Cooking recommendations
- Laying beetroot on plates, you can add pre-fried chicken or turkey fillet.
- Lemon juice can be replaced with diluted citric acid or vinegar. Adding acid will preserve the brightness of the beet color.
- Eggs, like beets with cucumbers, can be cut into strips.
- Some recipes suggest using beetroot and beet tops in beetroots.
- If you wish, you can add black pepper to the dish, as well as replace greens with cilantro or parsley.
- Serve beetroot with several types of bread, salted crackers or crackers.
