Step cooking
Prepare the ingredients
- Pour 3-3.5 liters of bottled water into the pan and drop half a kilogram of red beans there. Boil the beans over medium heat until cooked. On average, it will take 2-2.5 hours. Remove the finished product from the stove and leave to cool to room temperature.
- Without draining the water, grind the beans with the help of a crush to the state of gruel.
- We clean one medium-sized onion, wash it, and then finely chop it with a sharp knife.
- We heat the pan, then pour 20-30 ml of vegetable oil into it, and spread 50 g of butter.
- We send the chopped onion into boiling oil, and then fry it until transparency appears.
- Meanwhile, we pour 200 g of peeled walnuts into a coffee grinder or blender, where we grind them to medium crumbs.
Cooking soup
- We return the bean mass with water to the stove and wait until the liquid boils. Add salt, ground red pepper and fried onions to the vegetable broth.
- Stir and boil the soup for about half an hour after boiling again. Meanwhile, finely chop two cloves of garlic and a bunch of green coriander or cilantro.
- We send chopped walnuts and garlic to boiling bean soup.
- Boil the dish for 10 minutes, then pour the chopped herbs and remove the soup from the stove.
- We insist the first dish with a closed lid for at least 10 minutes.
- After the specified time, we pour the soup on plates and decorate with green leaves of coriander or cilantro.
What to serve
Bean soup is very hearty, bright, and in itself has a rich aroma and rich taste. But using some additives and decorations, its tasting qualities and mouth-watering appearance can be significantly increased. We offer the most common methods of filing:
- add a tablespoon of sour cream and parsley leaves, coriander, cilantro and so on;
- if you are a thrill-seeker, then add fresh red hot pepper, sliced into thin rings;
- bean delicacy goes well with slices of fresh lemon or lime;
- some gourmets sprinkle hot soup with grated cheese and ground black pepper;
- best served bean soup with white toast, pre-grated garlic.
