Step cooking
Try to cook a delicious lentil soup following a step-by-step recipe with a photo:
- To begin, soak lentils for 30-40 minutes in plain water. After that, rinse well under running water. This must be done so that there is no increased gas formation after eating this soup. Pour in the saucepan sunflower oil and put on fire. It is well calcined that the water and impurities evaporate without residue.
- Cut the onion into medium sized slices and pour into the oil pan. Reduce the heat and pass until transparent for 8-9 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes. At this time, cut into small cubes the root of the parsnip. It is advisable to cut all the ingredients into cubes in size, like the lentil beans themselves. Add the chopped parsnip root to the pan and stir.
- Similarly, chop the celery root and add to the saucepan. Mix. Finely chop the carrot into cubes of the same size as the other root crops. Add it to the pan and mix.
- Peel the garlic and chop. Add it to the saucepan and mix. Add fire and, stirring constantly, saute the vegetables for 3 minutes. Pour pure lentils into a pot of vegetables and mix thoroughly.
- Add boiling water and bring to a boil. Add thyme, paprika and dried bell pepper to the soup. You can replace it with a fresh one. Next, put allspice, fennel, cardamom and turmeric.
- While the soup is boiling, cut the potatoes into small pieces (0.5 cm). We collect the foam. After the lentils are boiled for 5 minutes, add the potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.
- While the soup is boiling, chop the parsley and dill.
- Add bay leaf 5 minutes before ready. Add salt and sugar. Add tomato puree, dill and parsley. We taste and salt to taste. Add lemon juice. We try potatoes and lentils. If everything is cooked, turn off the fire, remove the thyme sprigs, bay leaves and cover the pan with a lid. Let it brew for 20 minutes. Pour into plates and serve.
