Ingredients
- Sour cream 10-20% fat - 100 g
- Chives - 3 tbsp. l
- Mayonnaise 67% fat - 100 g
- Fresh parsley - 3 tbsp. l
- Garlic salt - 1/2 tsp.
- Freshly ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
Step cooking
- To prepare the sauce we will use sour cream, although in the classic recipe the Ranch is prepared on the basis of buttermilk, the fat content of which is about 4%. For the sauce we take sour cream with a fat content of 10 to 20% no more. We will compensate for the fat content with mayonnaise. For the sauce you will need 100 g of sour cream, which we put in a deep bowl.
- In a bowl with sour cream we send 100 g of mayonnaise with a fat content of 67%, although the classic recipe uses a product containing 82% fat. Mix sour cream with mayonnaise thoroughly until smooth.
- Cut fresh green onions. If you have, it is best to use chives. It must be thoroughly washed under running water and finely chopped. Cut the onion as small as possible so that it does not feel much in the finished sauce. If desired, you can chop the green onions in a blender. Add finely chopped green onions to a bowl with mayonnaise and sour cream. For so many ingredients, 3 tbsp will be required. l chives.
- One of the main ingredients of Ranch sauce is parsley. You can use dried or fresh parsley. The latter must be washed under running water and finely chopped. Cut is only the petals of greenery, and the twigs do not cut. Chopped parsley in the amount of 3 tbsp. l add to the bowl to the rest of the ingredients for the sauce.
- To prepare the sauce will require 1/2 tsp. garlic salt. If you are unable to find such an ingredient, then you can mix 1/4 tsp. ordinary table salt with a similar amount of granulated garlic. Send the garlic salt in a bowl to the rest of the ingredients.
- Season the sauce 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper. After all the ingredients have been added to the bowl, the sauce needs to be thoroughly mixed to a uniform consistency.
- When the Ranch sauce becomes homogeneous, cover the dish with a lid or wrap it with cling film. We send the sauce in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. During this time, the sauce is well infused.
- After half an hour, the sauce can be taken out of the refrigerator and used to prepare any dishes. Ranch sauce is quite versatile and can be used as an addition to chips and any other snacks. Also, this sauce is often used in the preparation of shawarma. Store the sauce in the refrigerator for no more than a week.
