Ingredients
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Onion - 1 pc.
- Pork - 600 g
- Smoked sausage - 150 g
- Smoked brisket - 100 g
- Tomato juice - 1 stack.
- Pepper - to taste
- Sauerkraut - 1 kg
Step cooking
- Finely chop one clove of garlic and one onion.
- Cut the pork (about 600 grams) into large pieces.
- We cut 150 grams of smoked sausage and 100 grams of smoked brisket into cubes.
- In a pan, fry the onions and garlic in a small amount of oil.
- Add pork and fry for 5-7 minutes.
- Then add the sausage and brisket.
- Mix, cover and cook another 5-7 minutes.
- Pour a glass of tomato juice, mix.
- Add pepper and a kilogram of sauerkraut.
- Stir, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Pour a glass of water and simmer another 1 hour under the lid. Done!
Cooking variations
Cooking such a delicious hodgepodge will take you a couple of hours. If you plan to set up a full-fledged table for your family and loved ones, consider adding a few more to this dish. Besides the fact that you can slightly change this recipe by adding different ingredients to your taste, you can also diversify the table for dinner and add a few dishes.
For example, as for hodgepodge, you can add pickles to this recipe to make the taste even more intense. If you like spicy, add spicy chili. Together with a hodgepodge, you can serve home-made croutons or toasts, sour cream or sauce as a platter for bread, as well as a paste. On the table, you can additionally place several bowls with pickles, for example, with pickled mushrooms, cucumbers or zucchini.
