Mayonnaise | 150 ml |
Hard cheese | 100 g |

Step cooking
- First, we are preparing vegetables. To do this, wash well 5 large potatoes, peel and cut into curly pieces. If there is no figured knife, then you can use the usual one by slicing potatoes into slices of 0.2 cm in size.
- Spread on a preheated pan with 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil chopped potatoes. Add 70 g of mini-carrots or regular medium-sized. Fry vegetables at maximum heat for 3-5 minutes. Potatoes with carrots must be constantly stirred with a spatula so that they do not burn. When a golden crust appears on the vegetables, remove the pan from the stove. The roasting process is necessary in order to rid the vegetables of the raw smell.
- Rub 100 g of hard cheese on a coarse grater. For the preparation of mackerel, you can take any cheese that you prefer.
- We turn to the process of cutting mackerel. We make a large incision on the belly and remove the insides. We rinse the fish with running water and carefully wipe using a paper towel. Excess moisture must be removed not only from the inside of the mackerel, but also from the outside. The head and tail do not need to be cut, so the fish will turn out juicier.
- We unfold the sheet of aluminum foil and spread the fried vegetables on top, evenly distributing them with a spatula.
- On top of the vegetables we spread the carcass of a mackerel. Sprinkle potatoes, carrots and fish with salt to taste and a pinch of ground black pepper. Season the dish with 2 tsp. spices for fish and sprinkle half a teaspoon of oregano and caraway seeds.
- Pour fish and vegetables with 150 ml of mayonnaise, and sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Part of the cheese is laid inside the belly of mackerel.
- Wrap fish and vegetables tightly and transfer to a baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the dish for 25-30 minutes. After 25-30 minutes, we remove the mackerel from the oven, carefully remove the foil from above and unfold along the edges. We return the dish to the oven for another 25 minutes, so that the products are cooked and browned.
- You can serve the finished dish in foil, only by shifting it onto a beautiful serving plate. Top fish with baked vegetables can be decorated with fresh herbs.
