- Sift 300 g of flour into a bowl. Add 1/3 tsp of salt, mix. In the flour, make a deepening, break 2 eggs. For every 150 g of flour - 1 egg.
- Mix everything by hand. The dough becomes like a shortbread. Pour 50 g of warm water in small portions. At the same time, knead the dough very quickly. We beat the dough on the table 2-3 times so that excess air comes out. After that, the dough is elastic and smooth.
- In the test we make a deepening, add 0.5 tbsp. l apple cider vinegar. Continue to knead the dough. For smell add 3 tbsp. l unrefined aromatic vegetable oil. Transfer the dough into a bowl, cover with a film, leave to rest at room temperature for 40 minutes.
Cooking toppings
- Pour 0.5 cups of raisins with boiling water, leave to swell, while we are preparing the remaining ingredients for the filling.
- We clean 3 medium apples (preferably green), cut into 4 parts, cut the core.
- Cut apples into medium cubes.
- To pieces of apples do not darken, you need to sprinkle with lemon juice or make a lemon bath. For the bath you will need 0.5 l of water and the juice of 0.5 lemon. Lemon juice can be filtered through a sieve so that no seeds fall.
- We put the cubes in lemon water.
- We put the pan on fire to warm it up. Put 1 tbsp. l butter, melt.
- Put apples in a pan, which we simmer over medium heat and periodically mix.
- Pour 3 tbsp of apples. l Sahara. Mix.
- We are waiting for the excess liquid to evaporate. Then the apples will be ready. Take 20 g (1 sachet) of vanilla sugar and sprinkle apples on them. Drain the raisins. Add it to the apples.
Sprinkle preparation
- In a plate, pour 2 tbsp. l Sahara. Add 1 tsp. cinnamon. We put 3 tbsp. l ground almonds. Almonds are needed to absorb excess moisture from apple filling.
- We mix everything.
Cooking strudel
- Roll out the finished dough with a rolling pin into a large rectangular layer.
- Melt over a fire 30-40 g of butter. Grease the dough with melted butter. Be sure to step back from each edge of 1 cm, then to glue the edges.
- Sprinkle the dough evenly over the dough. Do not forget to retreat from the edge of the dough.
- Along the short edge, spread the whole apple filling.
- We begin to spin the strudel into the roll, while pinching the edges so that the apples do not fall out around the edges.
- We twist the strudel so that the seam is at the bottom.
- We shift to a baking sheet covered with baking paper. Top grease with melted butter.
- Along the whole strudel we make punctures with a fork, so that when baking through these holes steam comes out.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake for 40 minutes at the same temperature.Sprinkle the finished strudel with powdered sugar.
