Ingredients
Shortbread | 500 g |
Cocoa powder | 1-3 tbsp. l |
Milk | 150 ml |
Butter | 200 g |
Granulated sugar | 5 tbsp. l |
Walnut kernels | 100 g |
Step cooking
- First of all, you need to prepare cookies. For this recipe, you will need 500 g of any soft shortbread cookie. We crumble it into large pieces in a deep container.
- Next, grind in a mortar 100 g of nuts. Walnut, hazelnuts, and almonds will do, so it all depends on your personal preferences. If you don’t have a mortar, you can pour the nuts into a bag and grind with a rolling pin, or grind in a blender.
- Pour crushed nuts to the liver, mix, and for some time set this container aside.
- Next, in a separate container that can be placed on the stove, measure 5 tbsp. l Sahara. Then add 1-3 tbsp. l cocoa powder, 200 g butter and 150 ml milk. As far as possible, mix the resulting mass and put the container on medium heat. Please note: the butter and sugar should completely dissolve, but you do not need to bring the mixture to a boil, so periodically stir the sugar mass and carefully monitor it. As soon as it becomes homogeneous, remove from heat.
- Then, in parts, spread the crushed cookies with nuts in the sugar-chocolate mixture and mix gently. Since the mixture is still hot enough at this stage, the cookie pieces will immediately absorb it.
- Then we transfer the resulting mass into a larger container in order to mix it well. You should have a homogeneous mass, without liquid, resembling a cool dough.
- When the mass is gathered in one lump and begins to lag behind the walls of the container, we roll out cling film on the table and put on it about 1/3 of the resulting mixture. Wrap the film and form a sausage. Then we carefully wrap the finished sausage into the film, squeezing the air out from under the film as much as possible. 3-4 sausages are obtained from the specified amount of ingredients.
- The wrapped sausage is sent to the refrigerator for about 1.5 hours. During this time, it will completely harden. After that, we unfold the film and transfer the chocolate sausage to the baking paper, so that it is convenient to cut, and the hands do not remain greasy. Before serving, cut into thin slices. Enjoy your meal.
